Responsibilities:
Performs laboratory procedures in the technical section that is authorized by the laboratory Medical Director within the scope of their knowledge and prioritizes workflow with regard to patient's clinical status.
Performs testing and reports results that are classified as Waived or Moderate complex by CLIA guidelines.
Performs quality control policies and procedures in the laboratory.
Performs preventative maintenance, trouble shooting and calibration procedures relative to the scope of their responsibility.
Maintains documentation of quality control activities, instrument, and procedure calibrations and maintenance performed.
Performs various clerical duties and Phlebotomy procedures as assigned.
Qualifications:
EducationAssociate's Degree required orHigh School Diploma, General Education Development (GED) or Completion of a CMC Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate and completion of current California academic requirements specified by the Laboratory Field Services (LFS) in Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Clinical Laboratory Sciences requiredExperienceCompletion of a California approved Medical Laboratory Technician training program required orMeets the California current minimum experience requirements to qualify for the Medical Laboratory Technician license (U.
S.
military laboratory programs qualify) required 1 year of experience as a Phlebotomist or Laboratory Assistant in a clinical laboratory setting preferred Licenses and CertificationsMLT - Medical Laboratory Technician required.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
