Responsibilities:
The RN Navigator 1 functions on the multidisciplinary team as an advocate, educator, and counselor for oncology patients.
Responsible for ensuring all adult patients with an oncology diagnosis receive quality and comprehensive services.
Coordinates patient care throughout the continuum in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team and serves as a clinical resource with expertise in Cancer Care management.
Serves as a liaison throughout the facility and in the community regarding services provided for this unique patient population.
Incumbent will provide expert nursing care, which includes direct clinical practice, consultation, education and research.
Qualifications:
Graduation from a school of Nursing or successful completion of sufficient units in nursing qualifying for state licensure.
PREFERRED:
Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing.
Three years of recent oncology nursing experience.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS MINIMUM REQUIRED:
Current California Registered Nurse license.
Current BLS certification.
PREFERRED:
Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) OR equivalent.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
