Cost Accountant
General Purpose:
Prepare and Analyze financial information and financial reports for Financial and Cost Accounting records. Analyze capital project to insure proper ROI, controls, and capitalization.
Responsibilities:
Prepare, analyze and report weekly, monthly, quarterly gross margin analysis and other financial analysis.
Assist in month-end closing, prepare journal entries as necessary, and analyze inventory
Evaluation, inventory roll forward
Analyze cost accounting data and assist with cycle count/physical inventories
Compare actual costs to estimates and analyze variances, and accrue or amortize expenses
Analyzes and monitors inventory
Prepare detailed account analysis and reconcile sales, cost and inventory accounts by product group by customer
Review and analyze inventory and margin reports, conduct research and perform analytical studies in regards to cost analyses and profitability.
Develop and manage standard costs
Closing for multiple entities
Reconciliations for Balance Sheet and analysis of Results of Operations
Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
Report to management regarding the finances of establishment
Establish tables of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts
Preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual and standard costs
Prepare forms and manuals for accounting and bookkeeping personnel, and direct their work activities
Recommend Cost improvements
Work with vendors on pricing
Work in special projects as required
Qualifications/
Experience:
Education and
Experience:
CPA license preferred
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Years of
Experience: 3-8 years in manufacturing environment with multiple entities

Physical and Other Requirements:
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen test given by our medical clinic.
