, a commercial fumigation company located in Fowler, CA is looking to hire Fumigation Assistants.
Must be self-motivating, hands on, quick learner, responsible, trustworthy, and willing to work flexible hours.
At Horn Technologies we are a professional company who eliminates pests from commercial, industrial, and residential facilities.
As a fumigation assistant you must be willing to obtain a Qualified Applicators Certificate from the California Department of Pesticide Regulation and a Commerical Drivers License w/ hazmat endorsement within the first 3 months of hire.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Perform day to day field operations with respect to fumigation.
Perform/Assist in post-harvest fumigations.
Ensures customer accounts are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner, addressing problems that may arise.
Generate accurate fumigation reports to be delivered to our customers.
Maintains all procedures in compliance with company safety and quality standards.
Updates job knowledge by participating in products/industry training opportunities.
Protects organization's confidential/proprietary information, e.
g.
, trade secrets, customer lists, pricing.
Provides detailed records weekly/monthly for business development activities and status.
Represents company at industry events; promote/sale products and services.
Organizes all the shop supplies Maintains fleet vehicles Other duties may be assigned QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE High school diploma, general education degree (GED), technical degree, or accredited apprenticeship program or the equivalent in a technical program.
Pest Control experience is a plus.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as federal, state and local regulations, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine detailed reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups, individual customers, and coworkers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral, written or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS QAL/QAC license w/category A -Required to obtain within 90 days of start date Hazmat Endorsement - Required to obtain within 90 days of start date California Driver's License (current) - REQUIRED Ability to pass a criminal background test - REQUIRED Structural applicator license - Preferred but not required COMPUTER SKILLS Basic computer proficiency - REQUIRED OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES Bilingual in Spanish - Preferred Travel of 35-40% - Required Demonstrate effective multi-tasking ability.
